by Jo Cattell with original music and lyrics by Charles Prioleau.

KING is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy, KING LEAR, where an old king chooses to divide his power and kingdom between his daughters, but in so doing becomes destitute and goes insane. This immersive experience utilizes new technology to reimagining the original play as a one-person play. KING utilizes novel virtual and augmented reality multi-user immersive performance, music and music video, so audience members become a part of the storytelling. They experience a live journey through real and digital environments, a world of shadows and whispers, a world where things hide and remain unseen. Nothing is as it appears.
